Bio"YOU collect dolls? Thats the frist question most people ask from me. Well hell yeah, but not just any dolls ya see. I'm a little particulare, I like most of the dolls of the 70’s . Blythe, Liddle Kiddle, Hug a Bug, Mini Martians, Emerald the Enchanting Witch, or the modern Bleeding edge dolls, Pullip dolls by Takara, or the Living dead doll series…if it’s a bit off the wall and a bit mod I covet it. Rarely can I afford them so I paint my versions of them

slightly goofy...slightly warped...slightly educated...mostly wacko.
Noelle Hunt has been painting since childhood. Trained as a make-up artist she gave up getting paid (we won't say working cuz that just ain't reality) to raise a family, but continued to produce many pieces of original art.
Noelle's early work was mostly inspired by an eating disorder that came very close to killing her. Disturbing representations of the female form make up the bulk of the work from that time period.
Most of her present work is inspired by the Liddle Kiddles Dolls produced by Mattel in the 1960's and 70's, plus various nostalgic themes. One could say she "learned to lighten up." With tongue set firmly in cheek, she continues to express her own brand of humor and exorcise the demons.
Noelle is happy to accept commission, and has done many One OF A Kind pieces for collectors through out Canada and the US.
